Here is what I call some old school footage but still pretty cool.
This was taken on my first chase trip in OK. What you are seeing is
lightning discharging off 2000 foot TV towers as storms have already
pasted but still hold a charge in the clouds and after a time the
clouds and tower can not insulate the charge and the lightning
discharges from the TV tower upwards to the clouds. |
