VIDEO:  Low Pressure Rips At The East Coast

Date filmed: May 06, 2007
Location: VA Beach
Speed: Real time
Class: Premium Severe Weather                                         Camera: Sony PD170 3CCD MiniDv                        Stock #: VA-050607

Description:  A cold core low pressure along the southeast coast and high pressure to the north sent wind and huge waves towards the east coast. The winds were clocked at 53mph along the coast of Virginia Beach, Virginia. Also some buoys 100 miles out along the east coast reported waves as high as 40 feet. The system had a lack of rain so with the strong wind came eye blinding blowing sand as well.
